| درباره | The institution’s history dates back to 1941, when Voroshilovgradsk Extramural Machine Engineering Institute was evacuated to Omsk from Ukraine during the war. The institute was reorganized into Omsk Machine Engineering Institute in 1942, which is considered to be University’s official year of foundation. In the following decades it went through several transformations before achieving its current designation. Nowadays Omsk State Technical University is considered to be one of the Russia’s leading educational and research institutions. It is a home to more than 16000 students, among which over 2000 are international students from 10 countries. Its key priorities include: 1) Promotion of multi-disciplinary research and education. In 2016 Omsk State Technical University absorbed Omsk Institute of Design and Technology, expanding opportunities for students and introducing humanities. 2) Close cooperation with production companies. The university provides high-quality specialists for such important regional industries as chemical engineering, oil and gas, petrochemistry, and economics. Cooperation with companies includes employer-sponsored education, work placement, and dual education. 3) Internationalization of education. | ||
